New Era of Intelligent Trading.
In 2014, a new firm started its successful operation in Athens under the name NGSQ as a part of NGSQ International Ltd USA, founded by Dr. Nicholas Kondakis.
In 2018, a growing NGSQ firm incorporated in Greece as Mathisys Technologies Hellas in the preparation to join forces with Mathisys - consisting of the Quantitative Hedge Fund Mathisys Capital LLP and its advisor Mathisys Advisors LLC.
Mathisys Technologies Hellas is set up as a Quantitative and Algorithmic Trading Research center for Mathisys and complements its research, development, support and production locations in New York, New Delhi and Shanghai.

Dr. Nicholas Kondakis
CEO and President
Dr. Nicholas Kondakis is President and CEO of NGSQ International in New York, a consulting firm specializing in designing and deploying state-of-the-art quantitative algorithmic investment strategies in the global financial markets.
His 25-year experience spans several asset classes including global equity, bond, foreign exchange and commodity markets. He manages strategies ranging from ultra-low latency, high frequency to medium frequencies and beyond and has directed several multi-scientist research and development teams in executive positions at quantitative hedge funds.
His interests include the design and implementation of algorithmic trading strategies using statistical modeling of the financial markets, artificial intelligence and methodologies used in the natural sciences as well as the development of predictive models using very large databases.
Dr. Kondakis holds a Ph.D. and M.A. degrees in experimental High Energy Physics from Columbia University in New York and a B.S. in Physics from the University of Athens, Greece. He has held research appointments at Princeton University, Columbia University and SUNY Stony Brook, participating in experiments at Brookhaven NL, Fermilab and CERN.
Since 2005 Dr. Kondakis is an Invited Professor and Scientific Consultant at the University of Aegean, Greece, where he has been teaching a postgraduate course on the Dynamics of the Financial Markets.
